KD College is dedicated to the development of motion picture production, acting, and musical theatre skills as avenues into the professional world of entertainment.

Program(s) Length:  15 months

Motion Picture Production
Students gain proficiency in the skills and crafts of filmmaking in a hands-on environment, focusing on screenwriting, directing, producing, and post production (editing, mixing, music, and delivery). Each student produces, writes, directs and crews on several short films culminating in a Final Project for their professional portfolio, film festival entry, or Internet distribution. Students are introduced to the many different formats currently available in film and digital but all “films” are produced in the digital format. An emphasis is placed on students attaining proficiency in the basic skills and crafts of filmmaking needed for entry into the film industry.

Acting Performance
The Associate of Applied Arts Degree program in Acting Performance is geared to meet the needs of students who wish to become professional actors. The goal of the Conservatory is to provide the finest training available with a strong educational background to realistically prepare the student actor for a career in the competitive business of television, film, and stage performance.

Musical Theatre
KD College offers a professional conservatory training program in Musical Theatre. At the completion of the program, you can expect to have the range and ability to perform varied styles and forms of Musical Theatre. In the 4th semester, you will have the opportunity to perform in a professional showcase which agents, casting directors, producers, local stage directors, and choreographers, as well as the general public are invited. The aim of the conservatory program is to realistically prepare you as a performer for the competitive business of Musical Theatre.
