Do you like creating something out of nothing in the most interesting way possible? Are you fascinated with all the kinds of things you can do with lights? Do you think your tools should be organized and immaculately cared for? If this sounds like you, then you might be our new Camera Operator! The candidate for this role will join our full-time commercial production team as a vital member of our creative, entrepreneurial culture.

This role requires strict attention to detail while being able to think outside the box in a creative way. We need someone who can effectively film short interviews and event coverage. They will also assist our Equipment Manager with keeping all of our gear organized and in excellent shape. The ideal candidate will know how to operate a Canon C200 and/or Sony FS7, basic equipment knowledge, and will ideally have some experience acting as a “one person team” on productions of their own.

Our close-knit Team of fifteen works with a creative partner pool of directors, writers, cinematographers, and other bright creatives–allowing us to provide our Clients with a customized team to fit their unique needs. This is a great entry level position for a candidate who really wants to learn more about cameras, lighting, and how to be a better shooter. They will have a desire to eventually grow into a Gaffer or Cinematographer. In addition to the above responsibilities, this role will also act as a Grip / Electric or Assistant Camera Operator on larger sets as well as assist with lite office maintenance.

Red Productions has all the trappings of a 21st century creative office: dogs, a kegerator, fun music streaming for most of the day and open workspaces. We also have quiet time to dig in and focus. Oh, and 401k, health benefits, vacation/sick time, and profit sharing. And, you’re given two days of paid time off for serving the community through what we call “giving back days”. This role is located at our studio in Fort Worth with around 10% travel.
