The COVID-19 pandemic is unlike anything most of us have experienced.  Sure, we’ve read about pandemics in history books and maybe seen Contagion, Outbreak or World War Z.  Or perhaps you’ve worked on, written or starred in such a film.  Many of us love the fiction and the genre.  But, right now, being quarantined in our homes, away from our friends and wondering when we’ll work again is far, far too real.

This time of great uncertainty naturally triggers stress and anxiety for so many of us.  But we want you to know, you are not alone.  (Cue: Michael Jackson)  Together, we will get through this!

So, how do we “Keep Calm and Carry On”?  Certainly, binge-watching British television shows is one way.  (Doctor Who, anyone?)  But there are even better ways, including sharing your thoughts and concerns with your loved ones, engaging in virtual communities and prioritizing self care.

Want more stress management tips from professionals who really know their stuff?

Join us for an important discussion on how to cope during the pandemic with licensed professional counselors, Callie M. Sewell and Sara Black.

During this free event, you’ll gain insight on stress and anxiety, their effects on the brain and body, and the best ways to reduce them for healthier, happier living.

You’ll also learn how to access more peace through a brief mindfulness meditation led by Anietie Antia-Obong, yoga instructor and meditation facilitator.

Come with your concerns and questions for our guest speakers. (Learn more about them below.)  And let’s get through this together!
