The State Fair of Texas is back, and this year’s theme is all about celebrating Texas creativity. Running Sept. 27-Oct. 20, the annual event features everything from live music and spectacular shows to intriguing exhibits and delicious fried foods. Fan favorites are coming back, like the Texas Auto Show and Fletcher’s Corny Dogs, and there are new things to discover as well, so plan the perfect fair outing with our new things to do at the State Fair of Texas blog. Be sure to check out TEXAS CINEMA Produced in partnership by the State Fair of Texas and the Dallas Historical Society, “Texas Cinema” focuses on the history and impact of film performers and creators from the Lone Star State, as well as the depiction of Texas through film. Incorporating a substantial amount of video and other media elements, the Great Hall will come alive with interactive opportunities and valuable historical artifacts. Through a partnership with the Dallas International Film Festival, the Hall of State’s Hill Auditorium will feature screenings all day.
