DALLAS CULTURAL PLAN: FILM IN DALLAS – PANEL & FOCUS GROUP AT THE TEXAS THEATRE

Description

Join us for a discussion about film in Dallas as part of the Dallas Cultural Plan 2018. The event at the Texas Theatre will start with a panel conversation featuring Toby Halbrooks (Writer-Producer), King Hollis (Director-Executive Producer), Angela Padilla-Clark (Production Coordinator), Dennis Bishop (Producer, p.g.a. /Chair, Film Program at KD Conservatory), and Janis Burklund (Film Commissioner, City of Dallas). The panel will be followed by a discussion during which we’d like to hear from you about opportunities and barriers to working in the film sector in Dallas, how this sector contributes to the cultural vibrancy of this city, and how film should be addressed in the cultural plan.

Are you involved in film, television, commercial, industrial, animation, and/or VR industries in Dallas? This meeting is for you! All those invested in the production, distribution and/or presentation of film in its various forms in Dallas are encouraged to attend.

This forum is part of the Dallas Cultural Plan 2018. Led by the Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, the Dallas Cultural Plan 2018 will articulate a unifying vision of arts and culture, ways to implement, and a policy framework for an updated cultural policy. Once completed, it will present a practical guidebook for the City and its partners to realize this vision. For more information please visit dallasculturalplan.com.
