When the State Fair of Texas cancelled due to Covid, Media Projects immediately joined with KERA-TV to bring the Fair to you with their award-winning film A FAIR TO REMEMBER by Allen Mondell and Cynthia Salzman Mondell – Media Projects.

A Fair To Remember is a roller coaster ride about the biggest, boldest and longest-running state fair in the country. Begun in 1886, the remarkable State Fair of Texas remains an iconic and timeless tradition  for Texans across the Lone Star State. It’s a tradition etched in the personal memories of millions.  The film  weaves together the social history of Dallas including the era when there was only one day for Black people to attend- Negro Achievement Day. Today, people of all races, ethnicities, economic situations come together to devour corny dogs,  listen to music, ride the Ferris wheel and have fun.

Dramatic archival footage, alluring interviews, and dazzling animation will entertain viewers of all ages! Narrated by actor Barry Corbin, Music by Brave Combo, animation by Janimation and co-produced by Phil Allen.
