Dallas Film Commission Announces New Assistant Director

DALLAS, April 1, 2020 – The Dallas Film Commission is excited to announce Meg Gould will re-join its team as Assistant Director. Gould joins the commission with more than 20 years of experience cumulative between her experience with the Dallas Film Commission and in the film and television industry. 

Gould is transferring to the Film Commission from VisitDallas’ Tourism Department, where she worked to foster large growth in the domestic student tourism market. Prior to Tourism, she worked for the Dallas Film Commission for eight years and in film & television production for 11 years. She has worked on several prominent projects, including “Walker, Texas Ranger,” “The 73rd Annual Academy Awards,” “Sons of Thunder,” & “Godzilla.”

“We’re excited to announce that Meg will be rejoining the Dallas Film Commission team. We had a great working relationship in the past. That, along with her industry and now tourism experience, makes her an excellent fit for the job,” said Janis Burklund, Dallas Film Commissioner. “I’m looking forward to her being able to pick back up quickly and working together as a team again.”

Gould will assist the organization with its marketing outreach to keep Dallas top-of-mind as a destination and serving as a liaison and resource for filmmakers considering Dallas for feature films, television, documentaries, commercials and various projects.
