Degree(s) Offered: BFA, MFA in Film/Video
Program Length: 4 years; 2 years
Being in an Art Department, the Film/ Video area is in a unique position to offer a fine art , narrative, animation or commercial approach to best suit the student. Students enter hands-on production classes as early as possible (freshman year), and progress through three (intro, intermediate, and advanced) classes on their way to individual projects. Narrative screenwriting emphasizes the understanding of character development and conflict in writing for film and video. The program integrates with the film and video production classes to prepare students to produce and direct their own screenplays. The MFA program begins Fall 2007.
