TRAFFIC ADVISORY – St. Jude Walk to End Childhood Cancer

Please be advised, the City of Dallas – Office of Special Events has issued a special event permit for St. Jude Walk to End Childhood Cancer on Saturday, September 23. Projected attendance is 5,000 people.

Road closures related to this special event will impact traffic surrounding the American Airlines Center and the Dallas Design District from 7 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The following streets will be closed to traffic:

  • Olive St. – All lanes closed between Victory Ave. and Houston St. (Access to Gold Garage will be available via Victory Ave.)
  • Houston St. – All southbound lanes closed between Harry Hines Blvd., Alamo St. and Olive St. All apt.  (Access to garage parking will be available)
  • All-Star Way – All lanes closed between Houston St. and Victory Ave.
  • Victory Ave. West – All lanes closed between Houston St. and Victory Ave.
  • Hi Line Dr. – All westbound lanes closed between Victory Ave. West and the Trinity Strand Trailhead dead end
  • Hi Line Dr. – All eastbound lanes closed from the Trinity Strand Trailhead to the northbound Stemmons Freeway off-ramp, with the inner left lane closed to Victory Ave.
  • Oak Lawn Ave. – All north eastbound lanes closed between Market Center Blvd. and Hi Line Dr. (center turn lane will be available for northbound eastbound traffic)
  • Dragon St. – All lanes closed between Oak Lawn Ave. and Howell St.
  • Howell St. – All lanes closed between Dragon St. and Slocum St.
  • Slocum St. – All lanes closed between Howell St. and Hi-Line Dr. (Access to garage parking will be available)
  • Victory Ave. – All northbound lanes closed from Olive St. to Hi Line Dr. (one outside lane open for southbound traffic and access to all apartment garage parking will be available)

Parking is prohibited in these areas on Saturday, September 23 from 12 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

  • Southbound Houston St. from Victory Ave. West to Olive St.
  • Both sides of Olive St. between Victory Ave. and Houston St.
  • Both sides of Hi Line Dr. between Stemmons Freeway and the dead end
