TRAFFIC ADVISORY – DALLAS BIKE RIDE – SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2017

 

Please be advised, a special event, Dallas Bike Ride, is scheduled to occur on Saturday, November 4. Projected attendance is 3,000 people. 

Road closures related to this special event will impact traffic surrounding Downtown Dallas, Uptown, the Design District, West Dallas and the Bishop Arts District.

The following streets will be closed to traffic from 6 p.m. Friday, November 3 until 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 4:

  • Young Street between South Griffin Street and South Ervay Street
  • Southbound Akard between Young Street and Marilla Street
  • Browder Street between Dallas City Hall and Young Street

The following streets will be closed to traffic intermittently (while cyclists ride by) on Saturday, November 4, starting at 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.:

  • Ervay Street – All northbound lanes closed between Young Street and Main Street
  • Main Street – All lanes closed between Ervay Street and Riverfront Boulevard
  • Riverfront Boulevard – All northbound lanes closed between Main Street and Continental Avenue
  • Continental Avenue – All eastbound lanes closed between Riverfront Boulevard and Houston Street
  • Houston Street – All lanes closed between Continental Avenue and Lamar Street
  • Lamar Street – All lanes closed between Houston Street and Broom Street
  • Broom Street – All lanes closed between Lamar Street and McKinney Avenue closed
  • McKinney Avenue – All lanes closed between Broom Street and Akard Street
  • Akard Street – All lanes closed between McKinney Avenue and Cedar Springs Road
  • Cedar Springs Road – All northeast bound lanes closed between Akard Street and Olive Street
  • Olive Street – All lanes closed between Cedar Springs Road and Flora Street
  • Flora Street – All lanes closed between Olive Street and Routh Street
  • Routh Street / Maple Avenue – All southeast bound lanes closed between Flora Street and Colby Road & All lanes closed from Colby Road to Cedar Springs Road
  • Cedar Springs – All northbound lanes closed between Maple Avenue and Lemmon Avenue
  • Turtle Creek Boulevard – All southwest bound lanes closed between Lemmon Avenue and Turtle Creek/ Cedar Springs Road merge & All lanes closed between Cedar Springs Road and Maple Avenue
  • Maple Avenue – All lanes closed between Oak Lawn Avenue and Cedar Springs Road
  • Oak Lawn Avenue – All southwest bound lanes closed between Maple Avenue and Hi-Line Drive
  • Oak Lawn Boulevard – All southeast bound lanes closed between Hi-Line Drive and Irving Boulevard
  • Irving Boulevard – All southeast lanes closed between Oak Lawn Avenue and Sylvan Avenue
  • Sylvan Avenue – All northbound lanes closed between Irving Boulevard and Morris Street
  • Morris Street – All east and northbound lanes closed between Sylvan Avenue and Canada Drive
  • Canada Drive – All lanes closed between Sylvan Avenue and Ronald Kirk Bridge
  • Riverfront Boulevard – All southbound lanes closed between Continental Avenue and Reunion Street
  • Reunion Boulevard – 2 outside eastbound lanes closed from Houston Street to Marilla Street (10-mile alternate route for cyclists only) Note: Hyatt traffic access available on the north lane of eastbound Reunion Boulevard
  • Commerce Street – All westbound lanes closed between Riverfront Boulevard and Fort Worth Avenue
  • Fort Worth Avenue – All westbound lanes closed between Commerce Street and Edgefield Avenue
  • Edgefield Avenue – All lanes closed between Fort Worth Avenue and Kessler Parkway
  • Kessler Parkway – All lanes closed between Edgefield Parkway and Sylvan Avenue
  • Sylvan Avenue – All southbound lanes closed between Kessler Parkway and Tyler Street
  • Tyler Street -– All southbound lanes closed
  • Polk Street – All southbound lanes closed
  • 12th Street – All westbound lanes closed between Polk Street and Zang Boulevard
  • Zang Boulevard – All northbound lanes closed between 12th Street and Jefferson Boulevard
  • Jefferson Boulevard – All eastbound lanes closed between Zang Boulevard and Young Street
  • Jefferson Street Viaduct – All lanes closed – Please use Interstate 35 as an alternate route
  • Young Street – All eastbound lanes closed between Houston Street and Marilla Street

  • Canada Drive – Between Topeka Avenue to Gulden Avenue
  • Kessler Parkway ­­– Between Edgefield Avenue to Sylvan Avenue
  • Flora Street – Between Olive Street and Routh Street
  • Cedar Springs – Between Akard Street and Olive Street
  • Turtle Creek Boulevard – Between Cedar Springs Road and Maple Avenue
