Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade

 

Please be advised, the City of Dallas – Office of Special Events has issued a special event permit for Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade on Sunday, September 17 at 9:45 a.m. The parade is on Cedar Springs Rd. between Wycliffe Ave. and Turtle Creek Blvd. The projected attendance is 30,000 people.

Road closures related to this special event will impact traffic surrounding Wycliff Ave., and Cedar Springs Rd.
The following streets will be CLOSED TO TRAFFIC:

  • Wycliff Ave. – All lanes between Maple Ave. and Lemmon Ave. from 9:45 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Douglas Ave. – All north eastbound lanes closed from Cedar Springs Rd. to Lemmon Ave. from 9:45 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Cedar Springs Rd. – All lanes closed between Wycliff Ave. to Oak Lawn Ave. from 9:45 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Cedar Springs Rd. – All lanes closed between Oak Lawn Ave. to Turtle Creek Blvd. from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Douglas Ave., Reagan St., Welborn St., Hood St., and Sale St. – All lanes closed between Dickason Ave. and Hall St. for perimeter closures on either side of Cedar Springs Rd. from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Knight St. and Throckmorton St. – All lanes closed between Dickason Ave. and Roswell St. for perimeter closures on either side of Cedar Springs Rd. from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Oak Lawn Ave. – All lanes closed between Cedar Springs Rd. from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. (local cross traffic intermittently controlled, turns allowed)
