Production For Use Offers Documentary Master Class in DFW


[Dallas / Fort Worth, TX] Production For Use, the Austin-based production services company helmed by Joe Dishner and Louis Black, is bringing its highly acclaimed master class series to Dallas and Fort Worth.

On May 20th in Dallas, TX at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center and May 21st in Fort Worth, TX at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, SXSW co-founder Louis Black (Richard Linklater: Dream is Destiny) and award-winning documentary producer Jeffrey Brown  (No No: A Dockumentary, Punk in Africa) will lead full one-day events in each respective city to provide an affordable, down-to-earth approach to story, funding, production, festival strategy, and distribution for documentary filmmakers of all levels.

Hosted in partnership with the Texas Theatre, Oak Cliff Cultural Center,  Dallas Film Society, and Lone Star Film Society, the master class grants participants the opportunity to speak to top local documentarians in a friendly, intimate environment. Participants will be invited to troubleshoot specific project related issues and will be offered practical tips about the filmmaking process.
