DESCRIPTION

This Labor Day, professionals in the film and entertainment industry are invited to celebrate the state’s rich and vibrant film industry and showcase its contributions to the creative fabric in Texas and the country.

Our event will bring together actors, crew members, stage and theater craftspeople, film industry suppliers, media providers, as well as independent film professionals and film, media, and performing arts students.

At 1pm we will hold a press event to make some exciting announcements. This will be viewable via LiveStream Multicast thanks to our generous sponsors.

This year, the organizers of Film Family Labor Day are proud to announce the opportunity for a course credit internship with a vast number of film, media, and live events organizations to the students of the University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College.

Activities will include Live Stunts, Steady Camera Operation, Film Grip Dollies, Make Up Artist Face Painting, Lawn Games, Chroma-Key Fun, Movie Set Props, Wardrobe Photo Booth, and great demonstrations provided by industry affiliates.

Free and open to the public.
