Amy Hollywood, Director of Communications and Marketing
(January 4, 2017) The City of Waxahachie, along with the Waxahachie Convention and Visitors Bureau, are proud to announce the lineup for the 2017 Crossroads of Texas Film Festival. This year’s festival will be held April 20-23, 2017 and will include an all-star lineup of Texas-made films. The festival theme this year is “Trailblazers and Outlaws”. In addition to the film screenings, the festival will also include live music, panel discussions with industry professionals, the Waxahachie Walk of Fame dedications, and VIP receptions and parties for VIP pass holders.
“This is the fourth year of the festival and we are extremely excited about how well it has been received. In paying tribute to films that are made in Texas, or by Texans, I feel we are doing something truly special and unique that people can get excited about,” said Amy Hollywood, Director of Communications and Marketing.
City leaders are excited to host this event and watch it grow. “The first three years of the festival have been very successful, and we look forward to seeing it grow in the coming years. Not only is this an opportunity for our local residents to celebrate our rich film heritage, it also brings in visitors from all over, including film industry professionals who may at some point bring a project back to Waxahachie,” said Paul Stevens, City Manager.
Tickets go on sale February 1, 2017 on the festival website at www.crossroadsoftxff.com. Ticket options include the all-inclusive VIP Pass, or individual screening tickets.
